Tokyo & Kyoto --- Japan in 7 days

We expanded our stopover in Tokyo to 7 days. This was such a great idea. There is tons more to do in Tokyo than we were able to do but we managed to check out Kyoto for one day too.

Tokyo was amazing for Tokyo Tower, Asakusa Shrine, Shinjuku Gyoen, Meiji Jingu shrine, Ueno Park, Sumo wrestlers at the stadium, Harajuku ( Takeshita Dori, lots of shops on one long street). Tokyo has 6 million vending machines that offer everything from soda, juice, coffee, alcohol, desserts, handkerchiefs, cigarettes ETC. Tokyo also has tons of signs with the most adorable or hilarious characters to help you understand what the ad is for, or just for the fun of it. Electric Street has tons of stores with electronics and gadgets that will probably be in the U.S. in a couple of years. We bought headphones here. That's all we could afford and I needed a pair.

The fashion here was so great to observe. I love it here. They had adorable purses and clothing everywhere. But on our budget and travel plan in general: no money, no space. I got to get some things at H&M which had things on sale for 5$ !!

Not to mention the fact that geisha's walk around day and night and still practice their traditional Japanese culture.

Kyoto was beautiful for TONS of shrines and temples.
Kinkaku-ji (Golden Pavilion)
Kiyomizu Temple
Nijo Castle
Fushimi Inari Shrine
Yasaka Shrine
Jishu Shrine
Tofukuji Temple

can't believe we did all of this in ONE day? pretty exhausting. IN THE RAIN TOO!
